Story
My wife and I am aiming to raise money for the Australian Himalayan Foundation's Quality Education program and I would welcome any contribution, great or small, that you could make!
Yolette and I have joined the Himalayan Highs AHF- Kathmandu Summit Club Trek to Nepal in April 2012.
During our trek we will be visiting schools and communities that benefit from AHF Teacher Training and Quality Education Program. It is an area of great disadvantage, where adult literacy rates and school attendance levels are unacceptably low. The AHF nine-year program aims to improve the educational outcomes for 47,000 students in 260 primary schools by training 1,500 teachers and providing educational resources to this impoverished region of the Himalaya.

The Australian Himalayan Foundation is a not for profit charitable organization dedicated to helping the people of the Himalaya achieve their goals - through supporting and overseeing sustainable health, education and environmental projects in Nepal, India and Bhutan.
