Summit Club's Everest Adventure

Trekking for the Children of the Himalaya

In April 2012 a group of Kathmandu's Summit Club Members are heading to Nepal where they will be trekking through the Everest region, visiting Sherpa villages and communities where the Australian Himalayan Foundation and Kathmandu have formed a partnership to support the AHF's renowned Teacher Training and Quality Education program.

Each trekker has pledged to raise a minimum of $500 for this worthy project. All funds raised will be directed to the AHF's Quality Education program, which will provide a better education and real opportunities for c. 50,000 children, 1,500 teachers and the communities in which they live. You can make a difference to the lives of children in this impoverished region by making a donation or supporting one of the trekkers.
